Classic Tape-In Hair Extensions

The main difference is the base. Our Classic Tape-Ins have a slightly wider adhesive tab that provides a really strong hold - they're workhorses. Our Invisi Tape-Ins have a thinner, more transparent base that virtually disappears against your scalp. If you have finer hair where the tabs might show through, Invisi is the way to go. If you want maximum hold and have enough hair to conceal the tabs, Classic gives you that extra security.

The hair itself lasts 6 to 12 months with proper care. The adhesive bond needs refreshing every 6 to 8 weeks - that's your move-up appointment. Your stylist removes the old tape, applies fresh adhesive, and repositions the wefts closer to your roots. It's a quick visit and your extensions are good for another round. Most customers get 2 to 3 full reapplications out of a single set.

Classic Tape-Ins work on most hair types, from straight to wavy to curly. The only time we'd steer you in a different direction is if your hair is extremely fine or thin - in that case, Invisi Tape-Ins or our halo extensions might be a better fit since they're lighter and less detectable. You can absolutely wash your hair - just adjust your technique. Use a sulfate-free shampoo and apply it in a downward motion. Avoid scrubbing directly at the tape bonds, and don't flip your head upside down in the shower since that can cause tangling. Condition from mid-length to ends only. Let them air dry when possible, and if you blow dry, keep the heat away from the adhesive.

This is one of the things our customers love most about tape-ins - they sit so flat against your scalp that ponytails, buns, braids, and updos all look completely natural. No bumps, no visible bonds. Just don't pull too tightly right at the tape attachment points and you're good to go.

It depends on your hair thickness and the look you're going for. As a general guide, fine hair usually needs 2 packs, medium hair needs 3, and thick hair may need 4 or more. Not when they're applied and removed properly. The issues we see come from leaving them in too long past the move-up window, or trying to pull them out without the right removal solution. Stick to the 6 to 8 week move-up schedule with a good stylist and your natural hair will stay perfectly healthy.

Yes - they're 100% Remy human hair, so they take color beautifully. We recommend having a professional handle it, and going darker is always safer than lighter since bleaching can weaken the hair and affect the adhesive.
