Valentine’s Day is THE date night of the year, the perfect time to look your best, feel your best and take your texture out for a night on the town. And yes, I’m talking about your curls…but that wasn’t always the case. 

It’s wild to think back to long before I was married to my husband Guy when I had more of a hate/hate relationship with my curls. It was also a time when you’d hardly EVER see a girl proudly rocking her texture as it sadly our hairstyles weren’t seen as “appropriate” for work, much less “pretty”. Case in point?
