Machine Wefts work best for medium to thick hair types and those looking for denser, fuller extensions. If you have fine hair, you may prefer our Hand-Tied Wefts, which are lighter and lay flatter for a more seamless blend.
They are typically sewn onto a braided foundation for a secure fit or attached using beads for a more flexible installation. Unlike Hand-Tied Wefts, Machine Wefts can be cut without unraveling, allowing for complete customization.
Absolutely! Machine Wefts are stronger and more durable, so they can be cut to size without fraying, making them a great choice for custom installs.
Start by parting the hair horizontally at the nape of the neck and clipping the rest of the hair out of the way. Each section should be clean and even to ensure a seamless installation.
For a beaded method, thread small silicone-lined beads onto a row of hair, spacing them evenly along the section. Secure each bead by clamping it with pliers. Alternatively, for a braided method, create a tight, horizontal cornrow to act as the base for sewing the weft.
Hold the weft against the prepared section and measure the exact width needed. Cut the weft to fit, avoiding cutting through the stitching to prevent shedding.
For the beaded method, lay the weft over the beads and sew it onto the track using a curved needle and nylon thread. If using the braided method, sew the weft directly onto the braid with tight, secure stitches.
Once the wefts are securely attached, release the clipped-up hair and blend the extensions with the natural hair using a brush or styling tools. Trim if necessary for a seamless look.
