This popular fusion technique uses heat to wrap the nail-shaped tip around strands of your natural hair. The result is virtually undetectable. Perfect Locks uses only the finest Remy human hair in our u-tips, giving you the most realistic and seamless installation you've ever experienced.

The process involves taking small sections of hair and attaching a u-tip extension to each section, the tip has to be heated and wrapped around each small section of hair. This can be time-consuming and requires a skilled technician.

How long do U-Tipped extensions last?

U-tip fusion hair extensions can last anywhere from 3 to 6 months with proper care and maintenance. However, it is important to note that regular maintenance is required to keep the extensions looking their best. Clients will need to go in for regular touch-up appointments to have any loose bonds tightened or replaced and to ensure that the extensions are properly aligned with the natural hair. Neglecting maintenance can cause the extensions to become tangled, matted, or even fall out prematurely.

Can U-Tip fusion hair extensions be reused?

U-tip fusion hair extensions can be reused if the extensions are still in good condition and the keratin bonds are intact. The extensions are removed using a special solvent that breaks down the keratin bond, and new bonds can be applied to the extensions for reuse.

Are U-Tipped extensions suitable for all hair types?

U-tip fusion hair extensions are suitable for most hair types, but they may not be suitable for extremely fine or thin hair. The weight of the extensions can put too much stress on the natural hair and cause damage. It is important to consult with a hair extension technician to determine if u-tip fusion extensions are suitable for your hair type.

Since all of our hair is single-drawn Remy hair (ends are left natural), your hair may include an extra 1 to 2 inches extra. This allows you to trim the ends without unnecessarily paying for extra length. Or leave them beautifully natural like most of our customers, the choice is yours.

Tips on Choosing the Correct Length

The length of our hair depends on the texture you choose. Our straight hair naturally falls longer because it lies completely flat when it's measured. We measure the length of our curly hair when it is in a straight position because it has more volume for the same weight. The length of our wavy hair texture lies in-between that of the straight and curly.

This guide will help you to determine where a length will fall when placed at the top of the head. The hair will fall even longer when placed at the nape area.
